At Bhava Sunday School, we believe that nurturing a child's spiritual development is as essential as their academic education. Our curriculum blends ancient Vedic wisdom with engaging activities, creating an environment where children eagerly absorb Krishna consciousness.

Our dedicated teachers guide young devotees through an immersive journey of stories from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, melodious kirtans, meaningful art projects, and practical devotional service—all tailored to different age groups and learning styles.

Our Class Structure

We've carefully designed our program to meet children where they are developmentally, spiritually, and socially. Each class builds upon the previous one, creating a seamless journey from early childhood through the teenage years.

Baal Gopal (Ages 4-7)

Our littlest devotees experience Krishna through colorful stories, simple bhajans, artistic expression, and playful movement. We focus on building loving feelings toward Krishna while developing basic spiritual vocabulary and concepts.

Damodhar (Ages 8-12)

A Typical Sunday School Experience

Every Sunday School session is carefully structured to create a balanced spiritual experience that keeps children engaged while deepening their connection with Krishna. Parents often tell us their children can't wait for Sunday to arrive!

Opening Prayers & Kirtan (15 minutes)

We begin with age-appropriate prayers and lively kirtan to center our hearts on Krishna and create an atmosphere of devotion.

Scripture & Story Time (20 minutes)

Teachers share captivating stories from Krishna's pastimes and other Vedic literature, using visual aids and interactive techniques.

Activity Period (30 minutes)

Children engage in hands-on activities related to the day's lesson—whether art projects, drama, sloka practice, or service projects.

Prasadam & Fellowship (15 minutes)

We conclude with delicious prasadam and social time, building community among our young devotees and their families.

Krishna's Birthday Drama Production

Our students are preparing a special dramatic presentation of Krishna's appearance for this year's Janmashtami celebration. All classes are contributing with acting, set design, costumes, and music for this temple-wide performance.

Family Art Workshop: Painting Krishna's Pastimes

Join us for a special parent-child art workshop led by devotee artist Ananda Devi. Learn techniques for painting Krishna's pastimes in traditional and contemporary styles while deepening your appreciation of sacred art.

Children's Seva Day: Garden Planting

Our students will learn practical service by helping plant flowers and vegetables in the temple garden. This hands-on activity teaches the devotional principle of offering our work to Krishna while connecting children with nature.
