# Family bedtime story practice Bhāva’s public Library offers child-friendly Krishna Book bedtime stories (Stories **001–025**). This guide is a Bhāva-original practice sheet for parents and caregivers—how to use those stories at home with steadiness and warmth. It does **not** invent ślokas, purport text, or “quotes from Prabhupāda.” It also does **not** claim official BBT status. ## A simple nightly rhythm (10–20 minutes) 1. **Choose one story** from the Library. Prefer staying with the same story for a few nights if your child asks to hear it again. 2. **Settle the space** — dim lights, put phones away, sit together. Screens are optional; listening to the narration works well when eyes are tired. 3. **Listen or read once** — play the narration or follow along on the story page. Pause if a word is new; keep explanations short and kind. 4. **One soft question** — for example: “What felt peaceful?” or “Who did Krishna help?” Avoid quizzes or pressure to recall every detail. 5. **Close gently** — a moment of quiet, a hug, or a simple “thank you for listening.” Sleep comes more easily without a second media episode. ## Tips that keep practice gentle - **Sequence matters:** stories are numbered. Younger listeners often do well starting earlier in the series; you do not need to “finish the catalog” quickly. - **Repeat is devotion, not boredom:** hearing the same story again is normal and welcome. - **Printables are optional:** a coloring page from the Printables hub can follow on weekends; bedtime itself can stay audio-and-presence only. - **Boundaries stay honest:** if a story number is not public yet, it will not appear. Do not chase private or incomplete materials. ## What this guide is not - Not a substitute for śāstra study with authorized editions. - Not permission to copy or redistribute full copyrighted books. - Not child accounts, behavioral tracking, or public comment threads—Bhāva does not collect child profiles for this practice. ## Related Bhāva records - [Printing and classroom use](/knowledge/printing-and-classroom-use) — when you want posters or coloring pages. - [Sources and permissions](/knowledge/source-and-permissions) — rights and non-republication boundaries. - [Does Bhāva collect child data?](/knowledge/questions/does-bhava-collect-child-data) — privacy posture for families.
